Financial Statements

You can use the Financial Statements form to accurately and efficiently report a firm's financial information. The form includes preset statements such as the Statement of financial position, Statement of retained earnings, and Statement of cash flows.

Firm authors can select which sections to display in the Financial Statements under Pre-select options.

Pre-select Options Description
Report Review report - a link to the Review report is added.
Compilation report - a link to the Compilation report is added.
None - no additional reports are added.
Columns Current column - the statements will display current year balances.
Current and Prior columns - the statements will display current year and prior year balances.
Include Statement of cash flows Yes - the Statement of retained earnings and Statement of cash flows are added.
No - the Statement of retained earnings and Statement of cash flows are removed.
Include Notes to financial statements

Yes - the Notes to financial statements are added.
No - the Notes to financial statements are removed.

In Design Mode, firm authors can customize the Financial Statements form according to their firm's needs by including specific accounts, and adjusting the statement format.

To include specific accounts:

  1. Open the Financial Statements form.
  2. On the View tab, click Design Mode.
  3. Navigate to the statement you want to update, then right-click any cell located in the Mapping No column, and click Edit Cell....
  4. Update the Calculation Properties field with a designated mapping number, then click OK.

The specific account has been included. To add more rows for additional accounts, you can modify the table to change the statement formatting.
