About Checking Portions of Calculations

Calculations may be checked for accuracy as they are built or modified.

Hover over any calculation in the equation bar, the Calculation Editor dialog, or other dialogs such as the Cell, Section, Paragraph, Watermark, etc. The evaluated calculation and the resulting value appear. The calculation itself may be truncated in long calculations.

To see the value of part of a calculation, select that part of the equation. A tool tip will pop up showing the selected text plus the subtotal of the selection.

Note that in dialogs that show a result of the whole calculation, namely the Equation Editor and the Cell dialog, if nothing is selected, the tool tip does not appear.
