Attaching a Header or Footer to a Specific Page
Users can specify a header and/or a footer for the first or subsequent page of a document.
Setting up a Header or Footer for a Specific Page
- On the Document tab, click Attach.
- In the Attach Header/Footer dialog, click + .
- Select Specify for the First Page/Subsequent/Last pages.
-
In the Header/Footer dialog, set the specifications.
Note: Where headers and footers are assigned conditionally to a page, the header or footer is reassigned accordingly if there are changes within the range of pages to which the header or footer is applied. Consider the following in a range of 3 pages:
Page number
Type of header attached
Page 1
First
Page 2
Subsequent
Page 3
Last
Notes
- If page 3 is deleted, then page 2 becomes the last page and is accordingly assigned the last page header. If a fourth page is added to this header range then the last page header is assigned to it and page 3 gets a subsequent header.
- The size of the Header/Footer must be constant between those set for subsequent pages and those set for the last page or else printing may have errors. A diagnostic to detect differences between their sizes.
