Compatibility tab - Document Settings dialog

The window lists settings to maintain backward compatibility. They allow templates to behave as they did in prior versions of CaseView.

Each option describes the new behavior. It is checked by default. Unchecking each returns to the prior behavior.

If selected, sort previews will show table rows as they appear in the current mode. If not selected, sort previews will show tables as they appear in the Design Mode.

If selected, graph settings will be re-referenced if the cells used in the graph are renumbered.

If selected, the print dialog will show the default page range (1 to 1) and not the current page number. Not checking this will force a complete repagination prior to opening the print dialog to determine the current page number correctly.

If selected, when this document is used as a Knowledge Library, during a Knowledge Library update, if the main document has selected to save input paragraphs, then all input paragraphs (tagged and non-tagged) will be saved. If not selected, only tagged input paragraphs will be saved.

If selected, a page setup in a skipped paragraph will be applied to subsequent pages. Unchecking this option will cause a page setup in a skipped paragraph to only affect the current page, and the document settings will be reapplied to subsequent pages.

If selected, a paragraph following a Keep with Next paragraph must completely fit on the same page to satisfy the Keep with Next option or else both paragraphs will move to the next page.

If selected, any lines created with a line break in a justified paragraph are left aligned rather than justified.

If selected, cell calculations will use the precision specified in the cell properties instead of the precision available in the cell value.

If selected, fonts throughout the document will be scaled down slightly to reduce clipping of text in tables when viewed on-screen. Printed output will be unaffected.

This option will also correct a cosmetic issue of italicized fonts becoming clipped at the right margin.

Note: This only appears onscreen, the print preview and output files should display correctly regardless of this setting.
