New command

Use the New Document dialog to create a CaseView document.

Select the basis for creating the new document.

Based on system defaults

Creates a blank document.

Based on document template

Creates a document based on an existing CaseView document. Use this option to save time formatting your document and to ensure a consistent appearance among CaseView documents. Once the document is created, click Save on the File tab to save the document with the name you want.

Type or select the name of the file you want to use as a template. This box lists documents with the file name extension selected in the List Files of Type box (it will default to *.cvw for CaseView files).

Select the type of file you want to see in the File Name box. Selecting CaseView Files lists all files in the current directory that were saved with a. cvw extension.

Select the directory that contains the CaseView document you want to open.

Select the drive that contains the library file you want to open. This defaults to the Working Papers or Time program folder.
