Open command

Use this command to open an existing CaseView document or library file.

Look in

Select the drive and folder in which the file you want to open is stored.

A listing of the existing documents in the selected folder appears below. The files shown are restricted to those of the file format specified in the Files of type box.

File Name

Select or type the name of the client file you want to open. A default type is selected in the Files of type box. To see a list of files of another file format, type an asterisk (*), a period, the extension, and then press ENTER.

Files of type

By default the CaseView file format is selected. Use the drop-down list to select another type of file you want to see in the file listing.

CaseView Files (*.cvw)

If selected, the folder listing displays all files in the current folder that were saved with a. cvw extension.

Library Files (*.lib)

If selected, the folder listing displays all files in the current folder that were saved with a. lib extension.

All Files (*.*)

If selected, the folder listing displays all files in the current folder.
