Page Break command

Inserts a page break directly above the insertion point. Breaks in a CaseView document appear as dotted lines with text describing the type of page break on the screen.

Press Ctrl+Enter to open the Page Break dialog quickly.

Select the type of page break to be inserted.

Next Page

Continues on the next page.

Next even numbered page

Continues on the next even numbered page. If the next page is not an even numbered page, the program inserts a blank page to force the next page to be an even numbered page.

Next odd numbered page

Continues on the next odd numbered page. If the next page is not an odd numbered page, the program inserts a blank page to force the next page to be an odd numbered page.

Even numbered page (this or next page)

Continues on the next even numbered page. If the current page is an even numbered page already, the document continues on the current page with no visible page break.

If material above the page is added or deleted so that this page break is moved onto an odd numbered page, the inserted page break forces the material after the page break onto an even numbered page.

Odd numbered page (this or next page)

Continues on the next odd numbered page. If the current page is an odd numbered page already, the document continues on the current page with no visible page break.

If material above the page is added or deleted so that this page break is moved onto an even numbered page, the inserted page break forces the material after the page break onto an odd numbered page

  • Manual page breaks can be placed anywhere on the page, even in the middle of a paragraph. A manual page break inserted in this way does not modify the paragraph properties of the paragraph immediately after the page break. If you look at that paragraph’s properties, the page break in the property tab shows as deselected.

The page break inserted using the paragraph properties is displayed as:

    -----------------------Page Break ----------------------------

The manual insert is displayed as a solid line with the page break type added.
