Restart page numbering starting at page __

Use this option if the page numbering after the Table of Contents needs to start at a particular number. This could be used, for example, for restarting numbering at 1 for a table of contents that starts a new section. Type in the starting number or select it using the spin control.

Automatically calculate TOC length

This is the default selection. If selected, CaseView will determine the number of pages required for the table of contents automatically. Therefore, the program will set the page numbering for the entire document.

Specify TOC length: __ pages long.

Select this radio button to set the table of contents a specific number of pages. Setting the length of the table of contents speeds up print previewing and printing. This option should be used only when you are certain of the length of the table of contents.

  • In the Form Mode with editing enabled, the table of contents can be edited either by double-clicking the TOC or using the right mouse button menu.
  • CaseView reserves space (2 paragraphs) at the beginning of the Table of Contents; one for the table's title and one as spacing between the title and the table. This is true even if no title is specified.
