To Export an Inline XBRL Document

Inline XBRL is used to create a document with the universal accessibility of an HTML document while also including the tagging functionality of XBRL. An Inline XBRL document looks and functions exactly the same as a standard HTML document. However, any components which are tagged with XBRL will include those tags in the resulting document code.

  1. On the File tab, click Export | Inline XBRL File.

  2. In the Save as dialog, select a location and name for the new file and click Save.

  3. The Export Inline XBRL Document dialog will appear in which advanced settings may be selected .

  4. Select a taxonomy from the Taxonomy list and select applicable options.

  5. Click Next.
  6. If there are problems with tagging in the document and its subdocuments, a diagnostic list of errors, warnings and information will display along with a message describing the problem in the XBRL Diagnostics dialog. Diagnostics errors that are severe enough to stop the CaseView document with XBRL tags from being exported must be corrected. The appropriate area in the document where the problem is located will display. Modify or remove the tag. If the diagnostic relates to a subdocument, clicking Correct will open the corresponding subdocument so that it may be corrected.

  7. Click Next to proceed to the Inline XBRL Export Summary to confirm the selections made and generate the document.
