Applying XBRL Tags

Tags need to be assigned in the applicable firm library document and a related XDF file needs to be created by the template author.

  1. Insert the Financial Statement area from the library that has been tagged. For more information, see Inserting Content.
  2. From the Content Management tab, select the applicable XDF file from the drop-down.
  3. Click XBRL and select Apply Tags.
  4. Click Yes to auto-tag.
  5. Once tagging is complete, an Add Missing Tag dialog will appear. Click Add Tag to add the tag to any missed item.

XBRL tags are now applied to the financial statements. In order to see tagged items, click XBRL and select Show Review. The tagged items will be highlighted.
