Document Tab

The Document tab is used to manage documents on the Document Manager. Actions performed include adding new, deleting , and printing documents.

Number Screen Element Description
Properties

Opens the Properties dialog for the selected document.

From Library

Inserts a document from the Document Library.

New

Opens the New sub-menu with the following options:

Delete

Deletes the selected document.

Tags

Opens the Tags dialog.

Check Out/Check In

Checks out or Checks in the documents from the client file for work at remote locations.

Assign Users

Assigns a user to the selected document.

Compare

Compares multiple documents in the Document Manager.

Comparison Details

Presents a detailed comparison of the selected documents.

Save As

Opens the Save As sub-menu with the following options:

  • Save Milestone - saves a milestone of the selected document(s).
  • Save as Web Page - creates an HTML file of the selected document(s).
  • Save as PDF File - opens the Save as PDF File dialog.
  • Save as Excel File - creates an Excel file of the selected document(s).

The menu also displays the list of open documents, with the selected document being the active document.

Send To

Opens the Send To sub-menu with the following options:

  • Mail Recipient (As Attachment) - sends the selected documents to an email recipient(s) as an attachment through Microsoft Outlook.
  • Mail Recipient (As PDF Attachment) - sends the selected documents to an email recipient(s) as a PDF attachment through Microsoft Outlook.
  • Folder - sends the selected documents to the specified folder outside of CaseWare Working Papers.
Page Setup

Print settings for all automatic documents on the Document Manager.

Print Preview

The document as it will appear when printed.

Zoom to preview the document from 50% to 200% of the original size:

  • To zoom in, click the left mouse button on the preview.
  • To zoom out, click the right mouse button on the preview.
  • Specify the magnification on the View tab, in the Zoom group.

To print, on the Document tab, in the Print group, click Print.

Print

Prints the currently selected document.
