Linking vs Embedding Graphics, Logos, and Letterheads
If you are using a graphic, graphical letterhead or logo in your CaseView documents, it is best to link to the graphic file rather than embed it in the document.
- To change a graphic from being embedded to being linked for all invoices, statements or credit notes
- To change a graphic from being embedded to being linked for just one document
The best practice is to store your graphic files centrally. The server or drive chosen should then be mapped identically on each user's computer. That is, if the location is mapped to drive E on one employee's computer, it should be mapped to drive E on every user's computer.
To map a drive letter to a network computer or folder
Note
- In the file of a client for whom the company logo has been selected as the company header for CaseView documents, the default then when these documents are saved as HTML, the following is created: An HTML document plus a folder named according to the client, containing the CWlogo.jpg file.
