Creating Numeric Cells

  • In the Cell dialog, click the General tab, and under Cell type, select Numeric. The Numeric tab is added to the Cell dialog.

You can change the appearance of Numeric cells in several ways. You can change the number of decimal places, print non-negative balances only, flip account balances, or print currency signs beside the numbers. You can also control the appearance of zero, positive, and negative values when printed.

By default values entered into a numeric cell appear right aligned. To change the alignment, click the Alignment tab in the cell dialog and select the position of the number.

Tip: When inputting values into a numeric cell in the Form Mode, simple calculations using +-*/() can be input and will be interpreted and used as the value for the cell.
