Creating a Multi-Level List

  1. Position the insertion point where you want to insert the first number.
  2. On the Insert tab, click Note Number.

  3. In the Note subsections list, select One level number.
  4. In the Level 1 format box, select the way you want the number to appear.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Repeat steps 1 through 5 for each additional item in the list using the Two Level Number and Three Level Number as the Note subsections for any two or three level numbers.
  7. Use the Style box to apply built-in styles to format each of the levels with the correct indentation. For example, Note 2-1 Levels Bold is ideal for numbers in the first level while Note 3-2 Levels is ideal for numbers in the second level.
  • CaseView supports up to 3 levels of numbering.
  • To edit a number in a numbered list quickly, position the insertion point to the left of the number and double-click to open the Note Number Properties dialog.
