Further Specify Headers and Footers command

Use this dialog to customize the headers and footers that apply to the current portion of the document. Once the dialog is closed, the attach Header/ Footer dialog changes to reflect the options selected in this dialog and to allow headers and footers to be selected for each of the areas specified.

Specify Odd/ Even page numbers

Select to attach different headers and footers to odd numbered pages and to specify the headers and footers that should apply to even numbered pages.

Specify for Landscape/ Portrait page setups

Select to attach different pages to portrait and landscape orientations. Using this selection while designing a document, allows you to select conditionally the headers that show when a page is printed in landscape versus the ones that show when the same page is printed in portrait. It does this without requiring you to know which pages are in portrait orientation and which are in landscape. When selected, the display of the header or footer is conditionally displayed based on the printing orientation.

Specify for First Page/ Subsequent /Last page

Select to apply a unique header or footer to the first, subsequent or last page of a range of pages in the document.
