Exporting to CaseWare IDEA

Use this option to export CaseWare databases to be used with CaseWare IDEA. Only databases with records export.

Browse to locate the folder for the export files manually. If applicable, click the folder icon to create a new folder for the export file. Working Papers creates a new folder where indicated and allows the folder name to be typed in.

Remove entries marked for deletion

Select this option to exclude any records in the AM database for any accounts that have been deleted in the trial balance but have not yet been cleared from the AM database by performing a repost. When unselected, these records are exported to IDEA as is, although they are marked as being deleted records.

The export creates files containing database information for the following Working Papers databases: AC, AM, BL, FP, GL, MP, PR, SH, TP, WR, WT. For each of these databases, Working Papers creates a file with the following format: <filename><database>.IMD.

In IDEA, the user only has to browse for the folder where the files were exported in order to be able to access the information.

Click OK and the export automatically proceeds.

Note: IDEA must be installed and registered before an export to the program can be done.
