Modifying Multiple Cells

For efficient formatting of cells, CaseView permits modification of blocks of cells. Cells in the block whose properties are not common to all cells have blank or dimmed options in the Block Cell Edit dialog. Select an option of this nature to make the properties common to all cells in the group.

  1. Select a block of cells by holding Alt and dragging over the cells. To add additional cells outside of the block, click on the individual cells while holding Ctrl. The cell color changes to show that they have been selected.

  2. On the Home tab, click Cell.

  1. Perform any required changes.

  2. Click OK.

  • Events can be edited during a block cell edit. Events are considered based on the type of event used to launch the action of the event, for example, On Click or On Input. If all the cells selected for the block edit have the same action, based on the same launch event, then the event can be modified as desired. If only some of the cells have an action assigned to a single launch event, the only change allowed to that event is to delete it for all the selected cells. Actions can be added for any launch events that no cells in the block selected have an action set for.
  • The Popup tab appears in the Cell dialog only if all the cells selected have the same popup settings.
  • If the cells selected belong to one or more cell groups only those properties that do not already belong in the cell groups can be modified in a block edit.
  • You can quickly modify multiple cells at one by right-clicking any of the selected cells, and selecting Block Cell Edit.
