Replacing The Value of an Input Cell with a New Value During Roll Forward

  1. Position the insertion point in the input cell you want to prepare for a roll forward.
  2. On the Home tab, click Cell, and then click Roll Forward.

  3. In the Pull Value By list, select either Direct Reference or Relative Reference.
  4. Enter a new value for the cell in the corresponding box.
  5. Click OK.

  • When using direct referencing or relative referencing, CaseView takes the value of the referenced cell, not the calculation. For example, if plugging figures into the prior year column, the calculation in the current year column could be ACT("BR","108") with a value of $1000. When rolling forward CaseView, inputs the value of the current year cell into the prior year cell so that the number $1000 appears in the prior year cell.
  • If one or more replaced input cell is a numeric value and it is included in totals or subtotals that appear to have rounding errors, you can set the precision of input cells.
