Best Practices: Cleanup and the Year-end Close
The Cleanup process should be completed prior to a year-end close. This is important to ensure that the new file only contains the desired information; all other information will be deleted according to the selections made during the Cleanup. Follow this basic work flow:
- Select the items to retain on Cleanup.
- Run the Engagement Cleanup Wizard.
- Perform a Year End Close.
Note
If you wish to have items not marked for Cleanup included in your next year's client file:
- Complete a year-end close.
- Create the next year's file.
- Run the Cleanup process on the prior year's file.
