Importing Bedford files in ASCII text file format

If you have a version of Bedford that is not supported by Working Papers, it is still possible for you to perform an import. To do so, you will have to import an ASCII text file into Working Papers.

Prerequisites

If Protection is activated, the File permission "Import" is required to perform this operation.

Procedure

Open the client file in which you want to import.
From the File menu, select Import | ASCII Text File.
In the ASCII file to import field, select the ASCII file that you exported from Bedford Simply Accounting.
Select Delimited (variable length) as the File Type.
Complete the remainder of the ASCII Import Wizard. >>How Do I?
Click OK to begin importing.

Results

Accounting data is imported into the client file.
