Entity Abbreviation Settings
When defining the columns in the Field Details of the ASCII or Excel Import Wizard, you can define a column as Entity Abbreviation.
Once that column is defined, an additional field is displayed where you can select when to assign accounts to the entity. Do one of the following:
- To assign the unassigned accounts to entities after the import, select the Assign entity through divisional profile check box. Once you click Import on the Completing ASCII/Excel Import Wizard page, the Entity Profile Setup dialog opens so you can make the necessary assignments.
- To assign the unassigned accounts to entities during the import, clear the Assign entity through divisional profile check box. Once you click Next in the Field Details page of the ASCII or Excel Import Wizard, the Assign Entity page opens so you can assign the accounts to the applicable entities.
