Customizing the Dashboard

The dashboard may be customized to include a logo, header and/or footer, and change the layout of the tab interface.

To customize the Dashboard layout:

  1. Click Options.
  2. Select Customize Dashboard.

Tab Layout

Although tabs are traditionally displayed horizontally at the top of the page, the layout may be switched so that they are displayed at the bottom of the page, or vertically on the right/left of the page.

To change the tab layout:

  • Select the desired layout from the drop-down list.

Logo

If a logo is used, it will be displayed at the top left corner of the dashboard. The following file formats are supported: BMP, GIF, JPG, JPEG and PNG.

To include a logo:

  1. Click Browse.
  2. Navigate to the location of the image file and select it.

To remove a logo:

  • Delete the input in the textbox.

Header

If a header is used, it will be displayed at the top of the page and to the right of any logo included.

The content of the header may be one of the following:

  • Existing HTML
  • Existing CSP file
  • Created using the rich text editor provided.

It is recommended that a header height (e.g. 95, 95px, 6em, etc.) be specified to prevent a scrollbar or extra white space from appearing.

To display a header using a CSP or HTML page:

  1. Create a new folder in the dashboard's main folder.
  2. Place the header file and any supporting files (e.g. images) in that folder.
  3. In the Header area of the dialog, select Use a CSP or HTML page.
  4. Click Browse.
  5. Navigate to the new folder and select the CSP/HTML file.
  6. Specify a height for the header.

To display a header using a rich text editor to create the content:

  1. In the Header area of the dialog, select Use a rich text editor to create the content.
  2. Input the required text.
  3. Use the style editor to customize as required.
  4. Specify a height for the header.

To remove a Header created using a CSP or HTML page:

  1. Delete the input in the textbox.
  2. Delete the folder and its files in the dashboard's main folder.

To remove a Header created using the rich text editor:

  • Delete the input in the editor.

Footer

If a footer is used, it will be displayed at the bottom of the page.

The steps for displaying and removing a footer are the same as a header. If using CSP or HTML files for both the header and footer, the same folder may be used to store all the files.
