Flagging Changes Made to Input Cells

You can flag changes to cells enabling the user in the Form Mode to differentiate between cells that have been modified and cells whose values remain unchanged or have yet to receive input. Cells that are modified in the Form Mode or updated by linkage to Working Papers or Time are identified by a red underline in the Form Mode. Once values are entered or modified for all cells, the User can clear all flags to remove the red underlining.

  1. Select the cells you want to flag by pressing Alt and dragging over the cells.
  2. On the Home tab, click Cell.

  3. Click the Diagnostics tab.
  4. Under Diagnostics, select the Flag Value Changes option.
  5. Click OK.

When the User in the Form Mode modifies the value of a cell either directly or by linkage to Working Papers or Time, a red underline appears under the cell.
