General tab

Use this command to set general default preferences for Time.

If selected, the Enter key will function as the TAB key would while in Time dialog boxes.

Select to continue to use legacy keyboard shortcuts. See Keyboard Shortcuts for information on updated shortcuts. You need to restart Time before this changes comes into affect.

Time can display up to a maximum of 10 recently opened files.

Options selected here control the visual appearance of browse windows in Time including Cash Receipts and Account Reconciliation.

If selected, all browse windows are displayed with grid lines.

Controls the color of all browse windows, i.e., the Account Reconciliation screen, the Billings/Invoices from WIP screen, etc.

Options selected here control the contents of fields for all browse windows including the Time and Expense Entry windows.

If selected, entries made to any field in a browse window are typed in full. For example, an "F" in the T column of the Billings from WIP will now appear as "Final".

If selected, normal accounting abbreviations are used for all fields in the browse windows. For example, final invoices are presented as "F".

If selected, the shortest possible abbreviation for all fields in the browse windows is used. For example, a Final invoice in the T column of the Billings from WIP will appear as a "F" when viewing the Billings from WIP.

Select this box if you want to display and print automatic documents with the colors assigning to sections of the documents in the Font Settings dialog.
