Entering or modifying budget by staff information

Before entering the budget by staff information, ensure projects are set up for the client.

  1. Open the Client dialog and click the Project button. The Project dialog will open.
  2. Select the Project No. from the list or add a new one.
  3. Select the applicable information for the "team leader" or "in charge" person and dates.
  4. In the Budget Totals tab of the project dialog select one of the following:
    • Totals calculated from the staff budgets: The staff budgeted information including User name, Work code, date, subproject, hours, rate and amount can be entered in the provided browse. Budget totals (hours and amount) will be calculated automatically from the entries.
    • Override calculated totals: Budget totals can be overridden in the Budget Totals (hours and amount) section of the project dialog.
    • Override calculated totals: When selected in conjunction with the "Calculate override from Subproject", the Budget Totals (hours and amount) will be overridden from the Subproject dialog.
  5. Enter the budget details in the Budget by Staff browse or click the SubProj button to add budget details at the subproject level.

Note: If you are making a staff member inactive who is assigned on the budget, clear his initials out of the Budget by Staff browse by selecting a different staff member in the staff column for each applicable item.
