Setting up Project Types

Project types are codes to identify firm level projects. For instance, you can tailor your project types to match the kinds of services offered by your firm. These types are available for use when setting up projects .

To set up project types access the Project Management dialog from the menu Setup | Project Management.

  1. Click the Type button to input new codes.
  2. Enter a code in the Project Type column and provide a short description in the Brief Description column. For extended descriptions use the ellipsis button to launch the Memo dialog to enter longer descriptions.

Subproject types are codes to identify firm level subprojects. These types are available for use when setting up subprojects.

To set up subproject types access the Subproject Management dialog from the SubProj button in the Project Management dialog.

  1. Click the Type button to input new codes.
  2. The Project Type is automatically populated based on your selection in the Project Management dialog.
  3. Enter a code in the SubProj Type column and provide a short description in the Brief Description column. For extended descriptions use the ellipsis button to launch the Memo dialog to enter longer descriptions.
