Format - Dates

In the Linkage dialog, you can use the format drop down to specify how dates appear in the document. This option leverages the Word and Excel formatting options to display dates according to your preference.

Format	Description	Additional example
2010	YYYY YYYY signifies all digits to represent the year.	2011 represents the year 2011.
6/25	M/D M signifies a single digit to represent the month (two digits when applicable). D signifies a single digit to represent the day (two digits when applicable).	1/4 Represents January 4.
6/25/2010	M/D/YY M signifies a single digit to represent the month (two digits when applicable). D signifies a single digit to represent the day (two digits when applicable). YY signifies the last two digits to represent the year.	1/4/11 Represents January 4, 2011.
06/25/10	MM/DD/YY MM signifies a minimum of two digits to represent the month (zero padded). DD signifies a minimum of two digits to represent the day (zero padded). YY signifies the last two digits to represent the year.	01/04/11 Represents January 4, 2011.
2010/06/25	YYYY/MM/DD YYYY signifies all digits to represent the year. MM signifies a minimum of two digits to represent the month (zero padded). DD signifies a minimum of two digits to represent the day (zero padded).	2011/01/04 Represents January 4, 2011.
25-Jun	D-Month D signifies a single digit to represent the day (two digits when applicable). Month signifies either the three-letter abbreviation of the month or the full spelling.	04-Jan Represents January 4.
Jun-10	Month-YY Month signifies either the three-letter abbreviation of the month or the full spelling. YY signifies the last two digits to represent the year.	Jan-11 Represents January 2011.
June-10	Month-YY Month signifies either the three-letter abbreviation of the month or the full spelling. YY signifies the last two digits to represent the year.	January-11 Represents January 2011.
June-2010	Month-YYYY Month signifies either the three-letter abbreviation of the month or the full spelling. YYYY signifies all digits to represent the year.	January-2011 Represents January 2011.
25-Jun-10	D-Month-YY D signifies a single digit to represent the day (two digits when applicable). Month signifies either the three-letter abbreviation of the month or the full spelling. YY signifies the last two digits to represent the year.	4-Jan-11 Represents January 4, 2011.
