Undo Year End Close Options

When performing a Year End Close, there are many options available to you in the Year End Close and Roll Forward dialog. These options determine the desired result of the close. If the options are set incorrectly, there are some ways to rectify the problem if closing into a new file.

If you are closing into a new file and the results are not as you intended, the new file can be deleted and the Year End Close can be performed again. If you have already started to work on the new file and you can no longer delete the file, certain components can still be brought in through the Year End Close process.

If a Year End Close is performed into an existing file, Working Papers recognizes the existence of the file and prompts for a Multiple Year End Close. In a Multiple Year End Close, only the prior year and opening balances are brought forward, depending on the selected options. Documents, mapping and group structure, and similar supporting components are not brought forward. Changes to these supporting files will therefore not be overwritten by the prior year file.
