Deleting a Contact

Deleting a contact will permanently remove it from the Time file including all relationships to groups, contacts, and contact companies.

Note: For Time users with Cloud Integration enabled, this operation can also be performed from CaseWare Cloud.

 With Protection activated, you require the following right in the file under the Setup: Contacts category:

  • Contacts: Create/Delete

If Cloud Integration is enabled,

  • You must be Online to perform this operation. When you are Offline, this operation is disabled.

  • Your account on Cloud must be assigned a role that grants Delete permission on the Contact object.
  1. Access the Contacts dialog from the menu Setup | Contacts | Contacts.
  2. Specify the Contact's Last Name or select it using the drop-down list.

  3. Click Delete and then confirm.

    Note: If this contact is the only contact associated with a contact company in the file, then you have the option to delete the contact company as well. This is not applicable if the company is a Group or Client.

After deleting the contact, all associations and relations to clients, groups, and contact companies are deleted as well.

If Cloud Integration is enabled and the delete was successful, then the corresponding object in CaseWare Cloud is also deleted.
