Reference dialogs: Applied to Invoice/Multiple Payment and Applied to GL Amount
All applied invoices are displayed as reference. Invoices of type, Multiple Payment, are also displayed noting the outstanding amount (if any).
Inv. No
Represents the invoice number.
Date
Represents the date of the invoice.
Original
Represents the original amount of the invoice. Click the Original heading to organize the invoices by amount in ascending or descending order.
Type
- Paid Invoice indicates that the entire invoice is paid and the outstanding amount is set to zero.
- Multiple Payment indicates only part of the invoice is paid and multiple cash receipts will eventually pay this invoice.

Applied
Represents the sum of all cash receipts applied to the invoice.
Outstanding
Represents the original amount of the invoice less any payments.
Receipt No.
If an invoice is paid in full by a single cash receipt, the cash receipt number is displayed in this column.
Use this screen as a reference for the cash receipt of the selected invoice.
Reference No
Represents the cash receipt number.
Date
Indicates the date of the cash receipt.
Applied
Indicates the amount of the payment. The total applied payment cannot exceed the total outstanding invoice amount. Any overpayment of an invoice must be treated as an unapplied receipt to be applied in the future (refer to Account Reconciliation).
Use this screen to reference invoice amounts to its applicable general ledger accounts.
Account No
Indicates the account number for the applied amount.
Description
References the description of the account.
Amount
References the original invoice amount less taxes. Tax amounts are automatically posted to their respective tax control accounts.
