Importing from AICPA's Program Generator (DOS/WIN)
If you are importing from AICPA’s Program Generator (DOS or Windows), Working Papers imports a print file generated from AICPA’s Program Generator. To learn about importing from PPC’s Program Generator, click here.
Prerequisites
- If Protection is activated, the File permission "Import" is required to perform this operation.
Procedure

Open the client file in which you want to import.

From the Engagement tab, select Import | Working Paper Software.
- In the Convert From field, select the type of AICPA’s Program Generator program you want to import (DOS or WIN).

In the Version field, select the version of AICPA’s Program Generator you want to import.
Note: Click here to see all Working Paper Software supported versions.

In the Convert Path field, type the exact path where the file you want to import resides or use Browse to locate the file manually.

To import client information, click Import Client Information. This information will be displayed in the Engagement Properties dialog.
- In the Print File Name field, enter the name of the print file.
- In the Index field, enter the reference number to be used for the imported information.
- Click OK to begin importing.
Results
The information from the AICPA's Program Generator file will be imported into the Working Papers file.
