Importing from WISPR (WIN)

  • Copy the Client.mdb file to a designated directory and save the file for import. For more information, see here.

The required files include:

  • If Protection is activated, the File permission "Import" is required to perform this operation.
  1. Open the client file in which you want to import.

  2. From the Engagement tab, select Import | Working Paper Software.

  3. In the Convert From field, select WISPR (WIN) and in the Version field, select the default version 1.0.

    Note: Click here to see all Working Paper Software supported versions.

  4. In the Convert Path field, select the exact path where the WISPR file (*.mbd) resides or use Browse to locate the file manually.
  5. To import client information, click Import Client Information. This information will be displayed in the Engagement Properties dialog.

  6. Select the Client ID file from the Select Client ID file (*mdb) drop down list.
  7. To include adjusting, reclassifying, or tax detail records, select the Include adj/reclass/tax entries check box. If this box is not checked, the entries will not be included in the import.
  8. Click OK to begin importing.

The information from the WISPR files will be imported into the Working Papers client file.
