Deleting client Subprojects

Deleting a client subproject will remove it permanently from the Time file. You will not be able to reference this client subproject in time and expenses.

  • If the there are related work in process or accounts receivable transactions in the current year for this client subproject, then you cannot delete this client subproject.

 With Protection activated, you require the following right in the file

  • Client Project: Create/Delete under the Setup: Project category

If Cloud Integration is enabled,

    You must be Online to perform this operation. When you are Offline, this operation is disabled.

  1. Access the Project Management dialog from the menu Setup | Project Management.
  2. Specify the Project Template No. or select it using the drop-down list.

  3. Click SubProj Template.

  4. Specify a SubProject Template No. or select it using the drop-down list.
  5. Click the Clients tab to access the list of client sub-projects.
  6. Select the client sub-project from the list and click Customize.
  7. Click Delete and then confirm.

     Note: If Cloud Integration is enabled and you are working Online, then a merge is automatically performed with CaseWare Cloud immediately after this step.

After deleting the client subproject it will be removed from the list of clients assigned to the subproject template. This means you can re-create this client subproject at a later time, if needed.

If this is the last client subproject for the client, you can now delete the client project as well, if necessary.

If Cloud Integration is enabled and the delete was successful, then the corresponding object in CaseWare Cloud is also deleted.
