Import Wizard - File Type (ASCII files only)
For ASCII files, you must confirm the file type for the import wizard to correctly parse the records in your file. The import wizard automatically attempts to determine the file type specified in the previous screen.
Procedure
- Click the appropriate radio button based on your file type. See here for more information on delimited records and fixed length records.
- Review the preview window to confirm your selection.
- Click Next.
Next Step
- For delimited records, continue to the Specify Data Properties wizard screen.
- For fixed length records, continue to the Specify Record Length wizard screen.
