Import Wizard - Specify Field Delineators (ASCII files only)

You have specified the import file has fixed length records. In this wizard screen you can add, remove and modify the field lines to define the character limits per value.

This procedure applies only to ASCII files.

Procedure

1. Review the field lines generated by the import wizard. Scroll down the entire file to ensure all values are defined within the boundaries set by the field lines. Additionally, you can:
   • Create field lines where two sets of values are defined within the same boundaries. Click an area to define a new boundary.
   • Remove field lines that separate values of the same set. Right-click a field line to delete it.
   • Move field lines that truncate values in a set. Click on a field and drag it left or right to adjust the width of the boundary.
2. Click Next.
