Undo Check Outs
You can select the documents, for which to undo the check out, based on the document or on the user who checked them out. If items in the current client file have been checked out, the Welcome screen of the Maintenance Wizard gives the option to undo these checkouts. Undoing a check out will result in the loss of any changes to the checked out item. Undo a check out only if you are sure that the changes will not be checked back in or that the changes made were not significant. Any changes done to the checked out version of the document or adjusting entry are not saved. Once the process is completed, the original checked out file becomes an independent client file.
Undoing a check out checks any selected documents or adjusting entries back into the checked out copy as if they had never been checked out. Checkouts can be done from either the Master file or from the checked out copy. Undoing a check out can be done by any user in an unprotected file, but only by a user who has undo check out permissions in a protected file.
