Protection and SmartSync

Protection modifications do not take effect in synchronized copies while the file is open. Any modifications are held in the SmartSync log until the file is closed and reopened.

Client files connected to a Data Store that use Global Groups may have invalid group information synchronized from sync copies, if the sync copies do not have the latest Data Store updates. Close and reopen the client file that to refresh the Global Group information from the Data Store.

Deleting a user group does not delete its users.

Deleted users display on assigned issues and associated history events.

The option to Open client file directly under the File category permits members of the group to open a client file directly, without signing out the file or creating a sync copy.
