P2P Troubleshooting - Unlocking Local User Accounts

User accounts locked in error can be unlocked on the peer parent.

Important: If a user account is locked, it is best to contact your IT support for the most up-to-date resolution.

Administrative access peer parent workstation.

  1. Open the Windows Control Panel.
  2. Click Administrative Tools.
  3. Click Computer Management.
  4. On the Left nav pane, click Local Users and Groups.
  5. On the Left nav pane, click Users.
  6. Right-click on the affected user and click Properties.
  7. Clear Account is disabled.
  8. Click OK.

The account has been unlocked.
