P2P Troubleshooting - Unlocking Local User Accounts
User accounts locked in error can be unlocked on the peer parent.
Important: If a user account is locked, it is best to contact your IT support for the most up-to-date resolution.
Prerequisites
Administrative access peer parent workstation.
Procedure
- Open the Windows Control Panel.
- Click Administrative Tools.
- Click Computer Management.
- On the Left nav pane, click Local Users and Groups.
- On the Left nav pane, click Users.
- Right-click on the affected user and click Properties.
- Clear Account is disabled.
- Click OK.
Results
The account has been unlocked.
