Replacing the Cloud or Server Copy

Replace the Cloud or SmartSync Server copy of a file with your local copy.

  1. Ensure the sync copy is online and fully synchronized.
  2. On the Cloud or SmartSync tab, click Replace Server Copy.

The top-level parent on Cloud or the SmartSync Server is replaced with a compressed copy of your local file.

  • An interruption in the upload process displays a Could not Replace Server Copy error with the following solutions:

    • Run the upload again by clicking the pop-up balloon.
    • Run the upload again by closing the pop-up balloon and, on the Cloud or SmartSync tab, click Replace Server Copy.
  • Working Papers attempts the upload the next time the sync copy is open if the upload is not successful.

  • A warning displays if the top-level parent contains more up-to-date sync information than the local sync copy.
