Home Tab

The Home tab contains the most used commands for the active item.

Note: Visible commands vary based on the currently selected document.

Click on an area in the screen shot below to view its description

Paste

Pastes the clipboard contents to the insertion point.

You can also paste by pressing Ctrl+V on your keyboard..

Cut

Cuts the selected text or data to the Clipboard.

You can also cut by pressing Ctrl+X on your keyboard.

Copy

Copies the selected text or data to the Clipboard.

You can also copy by pressing Ctrl+C on your keyboard..

Delete

Deleted the selected text, line or data.

Properties

Opens the Properties dialog for the selected document.

Insert Line

Adds a line to your current browse window at the insertion point.

Delete Line

Deletes the selected line(s). Click Yes in the confirmation dialog box.

Pressing CTRL+D also deletes a line.

Find/Replace

Opens the Find/Replace dialog.

Select

Selects the whole line in a browse or worksheet window. Examples of browse windows are the Working Trial Balance, Mapping screen, tickmarks, and programs and checklists.

Pressing CTRL+L also selects a line or group of lines.

Document Issue

Opens the New Issue dialog to create a new issue for the current document.

Line Issue

Opens the New Issue dialog to create a new issue for the current line.

Shuffle Up

Moves the selected line or group of lines up one position.

This command can be used in the Document Manager, in report setup, or in a program or checklist.

Pressing CTRL+UP ARROW also executes the Shuffle Up command.

Shuffle Down

Moves the selected line or group of lines down one position.

This command can be used in the Document Manager, in report setup, or in a program or checklist.

Pressing CTRL+DOWN ARROW also executes the Shuffle Down command.

Insert

Created a new document of the selected type:

From Library - opens the Library sub-menu. Selecting a library opens the Document Library dialog to add a document from a document library at the insertion point on the Document Manager.
Folder - opens the New Folder dialog to create a new folder at the insertion point on the Document Manager.
Automatic Document - opens the New Automatic Document dialog to create a new automatic document at the insertion point on the Document Manager.
CaseView - opens the New CaseView Document dialog to create a new CaseView document at the insertion point on the Document Manager.
Manual - opens the New Manual Document Reference dialog to create a new manual document reference at the insertion point on the Document Manager.
Link - opens the New Document Link dialog to create a new document link at the insertion point on the Document Manager.
Word - opens the New Document Link dialog to create a new Word document link at the insertion point on the Document Manager.
Excel - opens the New Document Link dialog to create a new Excel document link at the insertion point on the Document Manager.

Commentary

Adds a comment to the currently selected line in an automatic document.

Global Annotation toggle

Enables/disables global annotations.

With Global Annotations enabled, all new annotations will be global annotations.

Note: Creating an annotation as a global annotation enables Global Annotation.

New Line Annotation

Opens the Line Annotation dialog to create or edit document references, annotation notes and tickmarks.

New Annotation on Total Line

Opens the Total Annotation dialog to create or edit document references, annotation notes and tickmarks.

New Note

Opens the New Note dialog to create a new note attached to the selected account. Click the drop-down menu to attach a new note without using the New Note dialog.

New Tickmark

Opens the New Tickmark dialog to attach a new tickmark to the selected account. Click the drop-down menu to attach a new tickmark without using the New Tickmark dialog.

New Reference

Opens the New Reference dialog to add a new document reference to the selected account. Click the drop-down menu to add a new document reference without using the New Reference dialog.

New Manual Reference

Opens the New Manual Reference dialog to add a new reference to the selected account. Click the drop-down menu to add a new reference without using the New Manual Reference dialog.

New Hyperlink Reference

Opens the Hyperlink Reference dialog to add a new reference to the selected account. Click the drop-down menu to add a new reference without using the Hyperlink Reference dialog.

New Line Issue

Opens the New Issue dialog to create a new issue for the current line. Click the drop-down menu to list current issues.

Add Tickmark

Adds the tickmark to the current document.
