Accepting a Floating Currency Symbol

Follow these steps to allow a cell to accept a floating or smart currency symbol.

1. Select the cell you want to modify.

2. On the Home tab, click Cell, and then click Numeric.

3. Under Accept Floating, select the Currency/Unit Symbol option.

Note: In order for this type of section formatting to be successful, you must select the Accept Floating Currency for all cells in the section.
