Importing from Creative Solutions Accounting

The required Creative Solutions Accounting files include:

Importing from Creative Solutions Accounting 2005.4.9

  • To import directly from Creative Solutions Accounting version 2005.4.9 into Working Papers, the Creative Solutions client files must be decompressed. The default behavior of Creative Solutions Accounting is to compress files as it closes them. You can either manually decompress those to be imported or you can turn the data compression off.
    • If you open Creative Solutions and click Help | Repair the Repair window appears with the Clients tab active. Scroll through your clients and select them individually to decompress, or uncheck the Enable client data compression check box to stop them from compressing again.
  1. Open the client file in which you want to import.

  2. On the Engagement tab, in the Data group, click Import | Accounting Software.

  3. In the Import From field, select Creative Solutions Accounting.
  4. In the Version field, select the version of Creative Solutions Accounting you want to import.

    Note: Click here to see all accounting software supported versions.

  5. In the Import Path field, type the exact path where the file you want to import resides or use Browse to locate the file manually.

  6. Under Import Components, choose to import either:

    • The Trial Balance (Opening Entries) or,
    • The General Ledger Detail.
  7. To import client information, click Import Client Information. This information will be displayed in the Engagement Properties dialog.

  8. Complete the remaining fields of the dialog. >>Quick Reference
  9. Click OK to begin importing.

The information from the Creative Solutions Accounting files will be imported into the Working Papers client file.
