Web Pages (HTML documents)

All automatic and CaseView documents can be saved in HTML format. Typically, invoices, credit notes, statements and payment history documents are sent to clients. Once converted, they can be sent by email as an HTML attachment and opened in the client’s browser.

  1. Select a document. To select multiple documents, hold down the CTRL key while clicking.

    Note: Entire folders of documents may be printed by selecting the folder. If no selection is made, Time assumes that you want to convert every document on the Document Manager to HTML.

  2. Choose Document | Save as Web Page.
  3. Select the folder where the HTML documents should be placed. The default is your "My Documents" folder with the prefix "CT" added before each document's name.
  4. If you have selected to print an entire folder or the contents of the Document Manager to HTML, confirm or cancel your choice.

To save a CaseView document in HTML format, open CaseView and select File | Publish | HTML.

Note: When viewing a CaseView HTML document, set the background color to the Windows default color as other backgrounds can cause readability problems.

In the file of a client for whom the company logo has been selected as the company header for CaseView documents, the default then when these documents are saved as HTML, the following is created: An HTML document plus a folder named according to the client, containing the CWlogo.jpg file.

  • HTM and HTML files may be opened only in an internet browser. We recommend Internet Explorer version 5.0 or higher
  • The format of the HTML document, (e.g., the size of the fonts) can be changed in your internet browser. For example, in Internet Explorer click View | Text size. Changes made also affect the previewing and printing of the documents.
  • Avoid using invalid characters in the file name such as: periods, asterisks, commas,question marks, semi-colons, minus signs, ~ (tilde), @, /, \, |, %, ' (back quote), ' (single quote), !, #, ^, &, +, (, ), =, {, }, [, ], and $.
  • When saving HTML files, if there are items that need to go in a folder, the folder will be created. If there are no items no folder will be created.
