Monitoring Lockdown
You can monitor the files that have already been locked down as well as those with an upcoming lockdown in Working Papers and Tracker.
Monitoring from Working Papers
Monitoring a Locked Down File
When documents have been locked down, each locked document is shown with a lock icon. The lock icon also appears on the status bar.
Monitoring an Upcoming Lockdown
When you open a file in Working Papers that is set to lock down, a message pops up reminding you that the file will be locked down after the document completion date. The message also indicates the amount of time remaining to work on the file. Reminders are given at weekly intervals starting at roughly a quarter of the time left.
- For a lockdown based on 45 days after the release of the reports, Working Papers provides two warnings.
- For a 60 day period, Working Papers provides three warnings.
When the message pops up, you can double-click it to immediately access the Engagement Lockdown Wizard. If you are authorized to change the lockdown date, you can do this before the date shown in the reminder, otherwise, click the Close button on the pop-up message to close the reminder. You can also place your cursor over the locked icon on the status bar to display how many days there are before the file is automatically locked down.
Another option to monitor a lockdown is to filter documents by lockdown status to quickly see those that are marked for lockdown and those that are not.
Monitoring Lockdown from Tracker
In Tracker, you can view the lockdown date for all client files. You can also sort the lockdown field so you can easily view client files that are approaching lockdown.
