Lockdown Considerations Screen

This screen provides file maintenance considerations that should be made before locking down a client file. A diagnostic is automatically run to check for items that need to be completed before the lockdown occurs; the items from the diagnostic are displayed on this screen. The Lockdown Considerations page of the wizard opens if the diagnostic finds items that need to be completed while performing any of the following tasks:

  • Locking down a client file
  • Locking down a file after the document completion date
  • Changing the lock down parameters where a lock down date has previously been set in the client file

This screen is not displayed if the diagnostic does not find items that need to be completed.

Option Description
Run Cleanup

This option runs the cleanup before the file is locked down and only appears if a cleanup has not yet been run.

Note: If Lock Down after Document Completion Date is selected, the Run Cleanup will not display until the lockdown day.

Run Year End Close

This option runs a year end close before the file is locked down and only appears if a year end close has not yet been run.

Delete selected files found in the client directory that are not on the document manager

This displays the documents that are in the client directory but not in the Document Manager and gives the option to select the files to be deleted. All .doc, .xls, .pdf, .txt, .tiff, .ppt, .jpg, and .mdb files found in the client directory are listed.

Copy selected document links into the client directory

This displays documents in the Document Manager that are not in the client directory and gives the option to select the documents to be copied into the client directory.

Note: Any of the items selected will be performed as soon as you click Finish in the Lockdown Wizard regardless of whether or not the lockdown occurs immediately or after document completion date.
