Changing Lockdown Parameters

If you’ve set the lockdown to automatically occur at a future date, you can change some of the lockdown parameters of the file if you are authorized. You can change the date of the lockdown, whether you choose to lock down the file immediately or change the report completion date. You can also change the items selected in the Lockdown Considerations of the Engagement Lockdown Wizard.

  • If Protection is activated, you require the Engagement right, Lock Down, to perform this operation.
  • You require the correct password if a password was set for the lockdown.
  1. Select Engagement | Lock Down.

If there is a lockdown password set for this file, the Lockdown Override dialog opens.

  2. In the Password field, enter the password for the lockdown.

Note: Ignore this step if you are the administrator or if a password was never set.

  3. Click OK.

    The Engagement Lockdown Wizard opens.

  4. Modify the selections in the Engagement Lockdown Wizard as needed.
    • To change the date, select Lock Down Now or Lock Down after Document Completion Date on the Engagement Lockdown Wizard Welcome page. Note that if you set the document completion date to a date before the current, the lockdown date will automatically be set to the current date.
    • To add automatic actions to the lockdown, modify the selections on the Lockdown Considerations page.
  5. Click Finish once you get to the Lockdown Wizard Complete page.

The parameters from the previous lock down will be disregarded and the selections made through the procedure above will instead be implemented.
