Helper Applications command

Use this dialog to register a helper application with Time or to modify the properties of an existing helper application. Helper applications allow you to add documents created in applications other than Time to the Time file. Double-click a document link on the Document Manager to open the helper application and the document. You do not need to set up helper applications as Windows uses the document extension to locate the application that created it automatically.

Programs

Lists all currently registered helper applications. Click a program to modify the related fields below. To add a helper application to the Programs list, click the ADD button.

Description

Represents the description of the helper application. This may be modified as necessary.

Command Line

Represents the path to the executable file. Time requires this information to launch the helper application from the Document Manager. Use the Browse button to specify the precise location and name for the command line. A sample command line for the helper application Excel could be C:\MSOFFICE\EXCEL\EXCEL.EXE.

Remove

Use this button to remove an existing helper application from the list of programs. Place the selection bar on the program you want to remove and click REMOVE.
