To make a client group inactive
Ensure that any outstanding accounts receivable information is written off, and then deactivate the client group.
- On the Setup menu, click Groups.
- In the Group No box, type or select the client group you want to make inactive.
- In the Type box, select Inactive.
- The Inactive Date box appears. The inactive date is set by default to the first day of the next period. Click to select another date.
- Click OK to return to the Group setup dialog.
Notes
- When you move to the next period, the deactivated client group no longer appears on reports dated after the deactivation date. If you are viewing reports with a From and To Date prior to the deactivation date, the client group appears on the report.
- You cannot enter transactions for inactive client groups.
- Inactive client groups are automatically deleted during a year end close.
