Troubleshooting Identification Codes
Do not use the following characters in identification codes or numbers in Time.

Affected identification numbers include:
| Client ID, Name and Short name | User name |
| Group ID, Name and Short name | Contact ID |
| Invoice number | Reference number |
| Deposit number | Account number |
| Receipt number | Credit note number |
| Interest ID | Predicates |
- Project, Subproject, Office and Department type codes
- Work, billing and classification code numbers
Additional characters that cause problems during synchronization are listed in the topic Troubleshooting Synchronization. The best practice is to avoid using all of those characters in the IDs as well.
