Cash receipts and credit notes are both used to reduce accounts receivable.
The WIP vs. A/R chart is an excellent example of how cash receipts and credit notes affect reporting.

Both cash receipts and credit notes appear in the Accounts Receivable and the General Ledger. They do not appear in the WIP database.
